Sound Of Cinema

The sounds in films are really important because they are  giving the audience an idea of image about the structure of the film and gives them a sound experience, it also gives them a visual effect which makes the audience feel like the film is more fluid.
George Lucas for Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977 used continues music in the film which forms and shapes the vision for the audience and it makes the film more continual and gives it a continues flow. Just like George Lucas used symphonic and romantic music in some themes to give the audience a better idea about what's going on.

The music in the film makes the audience feel like they are in a boat on a river and the river is the music and it takes the listener on a trip to the world of the film.
Music and sounds in films form the visual effect and makes it more affective.

  1. Chris, you have provided a brief summary of the doc, and used Star Wars as an example. You could have gone into more detail about the different composers and earlier films, all of which is relevant contextual information for your later studies into sound. When asked to look at an outside of class source of information, please spend a little more time on then summarising it more comprehensively.
